The New York Rangers are on the road to take on the Vegas Golden Knights Thursday night. Below we will continue our NHL odds series as we hand out a Rangers-Golden Knights prediction and pick. We will also let you know how to watch the game.

The Rangers are 28-13-2 this season, and they have won their last two games. Those wins ended a losing streak for them. Artemi Panarin has been one of the best players in the NHL this season. He is tied for fourth in goals, tied for 13th in assists, and tied for fourth in total points. Vincent Trocheck is second on the team with 43 total points this season. As a team, the Rangers allow just 2.81 goals per game, as well.

The Golden Knights are 25-14-5 this season, and they have been able to win three of their last five games. Jack Eichel has been their best player as has scored 19 goals to go along with 44 total points. Mark Stone has been their best assist man as he has recorded 29 of them. The unfortunate news is Eichel is on the IR as he just had surgery to address a lower-body injury.

Why The Rangers Will Cover The Spread/Win

The Rangers are pretty good in net. They allow just 2.81 goals per game, which is ninth-best in the NHL. New York has also been very good in their last two games in net, as well. New York allowed one goal to the Washington Capitals and two goals to the Seattle Kraken. The Rangers will need to play this well in the defensive zone again in order to win this game.

The Rangers have allowed less than three goals 20 times this season. In those games, the Rangers have a perfect 20-0-0 record. When they allow three goals or less, that record increases to 26-1-1. If the Rangers can have a good game in the defensive zone, allowing just three goals or less, they will win this game on the road.

Why The Golden Knights Will Cover The Spread/Win

Vegas has been good this season, and are looking to continue that. The Golden Knights are even better than the Rangers in goal. Vegas allows 2.71 goals per game and their save percentage is fifth-best in the NHL. The Golden Knights will need to play this good in the defensive zone if they want to win this game at home.

I do not think this game is going to feature a lot of goals. That is why the Golden Knights need to be good in net. When the Golden Knights allow three goals or less, they have a record of 22-6-2. When they allow less than three goals, they have a record of 17-1-2. If the Golden Knights can play well, they will win this game.

Final Rangers-Golden Knights Prediction & Pick

I do not think this game is going to feature a lot of goals. When it comes to low-scoring games, I think it will favor the home team. However, the Golden Knights do not have their best player. For this reason, I am going to take the Rangers to win this game outright.

Final Rangers-Golden Knights Prediction & Pick: Rangers ML (-126), Over 5.5 (-134)
