The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the New York Rangers in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference Finals series, 3-2. After the game, Rangers head coach Gerard Gallant had some things to say about the Lightning's presence near his goalie, Igor Shesterkin.

New York Post writer Mollie Walker captured his thoughts.

“It fazes me more than him. I don't like it, I don't think it's a big part of it. Hopefully, when we talk to the supervisor tomorrow, they'll take care of some of that because it wasn't right,” Gallant said.

The Rangers coach clearly is under the impression that the Lightning were allowed to play inside the crease. If that's the case, it didn't matter very much. All three of Tampa Bay's goals came without anyone in the crease.

The Rangers led 2-0 midway through the game. However, penalties got them into trouble as both Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos scored power play goals to tie the game. Both goals came off of outstanding passing from the Lightning.

Then with under a minute left in the game, Ondrej Palat beat Shesterkin short side for the game winning goal.

New York essentially blew a golden opportunity. Had they held onto the lead, the Rangers would be leading the series 3-0 and looking at a potential close out game in Game 4. Instead, the Lightning got the comeback victory and are now in the series., trailing just 2-1.

Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday night back in Tampa Bay. After being a period away from a 3-0 series lead, New York will need to do a better job of keeping their composure to avoid an even series.
