The Toronto Raptors came out on top in a thrilling 131-127 overtime win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night.

Much of this came behind a career-best performance from All-Star guard DeMar DeRozan, posting a career-high 52 points in the win. According to Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints, DeRozan has effectively surpassed Vince Carter's long-standing franchise single-game scoring mark.

DeMar DeRozan's huge performance played a great part in countering the strong collective offensive effort from the Bucks with both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Eric Bledsoe each recording more than 25 points while combining for 55 markers in the contest. The 28-year-old was a huge factor in all facets as a scorer drilling at least five 3-pointers for the second time this season while going a perfect 13-of-13 from the charity stripe.

The ninth-year guard has been on an offensive tear in December averaging 25.1 points on 47.4 percent shooting from the field. This included scoring more than 20 points 11 times while topping 30 points on three occasions. The Raptors star has also been a more effective 3-point shooter over the last couple of weeks hitting multiple 3-pointer five times in the past seven games.

DeMar DeRozan has played a significant part in the Raptors' recent surge to the top of the standings in the Eastern Conference holding a 12-3 record in the last 15 games played. He will look to build off that career performance on Wednesday night against the Chicago Bulls.
