Rapper and Toronto Raptors ambassador Drake showed off his 2019 Raptors championship ring.

The Raptors defeated the Golden State Warriors in the 2019 Finals in six games, capturing their first-ever title in franchise history.

In just one season with the Raptors, Kawhi Leonard established himself as arguably the best player in franchise history. Winning Finals MVP after sitting out the previous season is really, really impressive.

What's even more impressive, though, is what the Raptors have been doing this season. Gone are Leonard and Danny Green, but Toronto hasn't missed a beat. They went 40-15 during the first half of the season, which was good for second place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Raptors head coach Nick Nurse is establishing himself as one of the best coaches in the game. What he’s doing with the Raptors this season has been incredible. Frankly, no pundit saw Toronto being this good after Leonard and Green left.

The Raptors open the second half of the season on Friday at home against the Phoenix Suns. Drake will once again be in Toronto once the playoffs start in his usual seat courtside.
