It has to feel strange for Kyle Lowry after losing DeMar DeRozan and Dwane Casey during the offseason purge by Masai Ujiri and the Toronto Raptors. Losing one of his best friends and teammate plus his coach of six years had to be a big adjustment for him. He still isn't looking forward to squaring off against Casey and DeRozan.

“I still haven’t reflected,” Kyle Lowry told Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated. “I’m not looking forward to seeing coach next week. It’s weird.

“Then seeing DeMar is going to be different. It’s going to weird. And I’m sure they are going to show a video tribute, and I might get emotional. I won’t cry. I won’t do that. We have always talked about it by saying that we’re going to reflect on our careers when we are done and sitting on our porches chilling sipping on some lemonade.”

Kyle Lowry admits he might get emotional when he faces DeMar DeRozan. They were extremely close during their time in Toronto, and the surprise of DeRozan's trade to the San Antonio Spurs did not sit well with Lowry. The point guard also said DeRozan and Casey should both get standing ovations when they return to Toronto.

That being said, both moves appear to be paying off. Kyle Lowry and the Raptors are in first place by racing out to 11 wins in their first 12 games, thanks in large part to new head coach Nick Nurse. Not to mention, Kawhi Leonard is dominating.

If Leonard can replicate his playoff success in Toronto, every Raptors fan will consider Ujiri's offseason purge to be a resounding success.
