We were treated to quite a whirlwind of the contest on Wednesday, as the Toronto Raptors defeated the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of their second-round matchup. The defending champs made a bit of history on Tuesday, as they forced a Game 7 contest following a double-overtime victory over the C's.

As it turns out, however, history is not on Toronto's side for Game 7:

That's definitely interesting to say the least. What are the odds of this particular scenario, with the Raptors also facing Boston in a Game 7 matchup. Then again, Toronto does have a knack for beating the odds, so if there's any team that could break the trend, it's Canada's team.

Guys like Fred VanVleet (21 points, nine rebounds, seven assists) and a clutch Norman Powell (23 points, three triples) stepped up for the Raptors on Wednesday, but there's no denying that veteran point guard Kyle Lowry was the star of the show. The six-time All-Star had his best performance of the playoffs thus far, finishing with a game-high 33 points (on 12-of-20 shooting), along with eight rebounds, six dimes, two steals, a block, and just one turnover in 54 minutes (!) of play. Lowry also knocked down six treys in this one, as he led the Raptors to a razor-thin victory against the Celtics.

Toronto is now on the verge of advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals for the second year running. They have successfully forced a Game 7, after going down 0-2 to open the series. But the Celtics were just a few key plays away from winning Game 6, and the series entirely.

The pivotal Game 7 matchup is scheduled for Friday, and you can be sure that both teams will be leaving everything on the floor for that one. Will the Celtics keep their Game 7 record perfect, or will Toronto find a way to win just like in Game 6?
