The Toronto Raptors have unloaded three players from their current roster, cutting Kennedy Meeks, Andy Rautins, and Kyle Wiltjer, according to a report by Marc J. Spears of ESPN.

With this series of moves, the Raptors’ roster count is now down from 20  to 17.

This was announced by Toronto following a 106-101 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers last Thursday in which Meeks wasn’t used at all. Rautins and Wiltjer, meanwhile, played 24 and 12 minutes, respectively, in what proved to be their last day in Raptors threads.

All three were signed in the summer to boost the count of Toronto’s offseason roster, but it seems the Raptors didn’t see enough out of anyone from the trio to keep the in the running for a spot in the final lineup. If they did, they’d still have a hard time finding playing time in their positions.

This isn’t the end of Toronto making some reductions on its roster, as the Raptors are still over the 15-man roster-size limit for the regular season.

The Raptors kick off their 2017-18 campaign on October 17 against the Chicago Bulls.
