The Boston Celtics figuratively hit the Toronto Raptors in the mouth in the first quarter of Monday's Game 5, but it was Daniel Theis who literally took a lick in the face courtesy of Pascal Siakam.

In a strange moment with just under four minutes to go in the opening frame and Boston up 14-5, Theis received a nifty no-look pass on the block from a slicing Brad Wanamaker — but not before Siakam had committed to denying Wanamaker a bucket in the paint.

Siakam jumped, thinking Wanamaker was going to shoot. However, he realized too late that the Celtics guard had dropped a dish to Theis under the rim. As the Raptors star tried to adjust his body, he awkwardly lifted his left leg towards the face of the Boston big man and hit him some Sweet Chin Music — thwarting Theis' shot attempt and earning a personal foul.

The odd play seemed completely inadvertent, as Siakam immediately checked in on Theis, who didn't assume any malicious intent was meant by the Raptors All-Star. Theis shook off the hit to make both free throws.

Boston outscored Toronto 25-11 in the first quarter of the crucial Game 5, marking the Raptors' lowest scoring first quarter of the playoffs.
