As has been the case as of late, the Baltimore Ravens came away with yet another narrow defeat as they fell to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 17 by a 20-19 final score.

The Ravens entered Week 17 with a four-game losing streak. They had crucial opportunities to clinch pivotal wins in December, especially against the likes of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers. Still, defensive miscues coupled with sluggish play on offense prevented them from doing just that.

A multitude of errors on both sides of the ball marred their overall performance against the Rams. In the end, a late touchdown connection between quarterback Matthew Stafford and veteran wideout Odell Beckham Jr. put the finishing touches on a nine-point comeback win for the current NFC West leaders.

Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley earned a start for Baltimore in the contest, as Lamar Jackson did not receive the green light to feature in the game due to his nagging right ankle injury. Overall, Huntley sees that the offense simply has to be more efficient.

“We just got to stop hurting ourselves at the end of the day and score points,” Huntley said in his post-game press conference.

The Ravens are still in the mix for a wild-card spot in the AFC, although they are currently on the outside looking in with the playoff picture in the conference.

The Ravens will need a home win over the Pittsburgh Steelers and plenty of outside help in Week 18 in order to sneak into the playoffs.
