Since the Baltimore Ravens moved up to take former Louisville standout quarterback Lamar Jackson with the 32nd overall pick in the first round of this year's draft, there has been an increased scrutiny on their quarterback situation.

This has also seen the organization toss much praise toward Jackson for the physical ability that he has on the field to be a versatile quarterback with both his arm and legs. According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Joe Flacco has also spoken highly of the 21-year-old that he believes there could be “endless” opportunities for him to contribute.

Jackson is a uniquely gifted athlete that has shown the ability to excel on a football field with both his arm and legs. He has proven to be a dual-threat quarterback with both his arm and legs over the last two years, helping him become the first player in college football history to notch at least 3,500 passing yards and 1,500 rushing yards in back-t0-back seasons. In the 2016 season, he set ACC records for the most rushing yards by a quarterback (1,571) and rushing touchdowns by a quarterback (21).

This has also drawn comparisons to former great quarterback Michael Vick, who was one of the most tantalizing talents that the league has seen that was a game-changing talent as a legitimate dual-threat quarterback. It is quite evident that the franchise has some huge plans for Jackosn down the line as he gets more acclimated to playing in the NFL that could see him become the eventual successor to Flacco.

In the meantime, the Ravens will likely look to capitalize on his ability to be a factor as a threat in the running game then expand from that point onward.
