A right hip injury has kept Baltimore Raven's quarterback Joe Flacco from playing over the past three weeks, but Ian Rapoport of NFL is reporting that he could return next Sunday in Week 14.

How well rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson plays today is going to be a factor in wether or not Flacco returns under center, according to Rapoport.

In his nine games played this season, Flacco has a QBR of 58.7, he's thrown 12 touchdowns and six interceptions. The Ravens were 4-5 in the games he's started.

In the two games that Jackson has started, the Ravens are 2-0, defeating their division rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Oakland Raiders. Jackson has only thrown for 328 total yards in these two games, and he's thrown three interceptions to one touchdown, but Jackson has revitalized the team's running game. Jackson ran for 119 yards in his first start against the Bengals and 71 yards against the Raiders.

Whether or not Flacco returns next week likely depends on how Jackson looks against the Atlanta Falcons. Football Outsiders ranks Atlanta's defense as dead last in the league.

The Ravens took Jackson with the 32nd pick in the first round, and until Flacco's injury he was used mostly as a decoy. Baltimore will have to decide if they want to continue with Flacco next season, or move on to Jackson. Flacco with be 34 next season and is slated to make $18.5 million next year.
