Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is marching toward history during the 2019 season. Sunday marked his most recent impressive accomplishment.

Following Jackson's performance against the Cincinnati Bengals in which he went 15-for-17 for 223 yards and three touchdowns and 65 yards plus a score on the ground, he became just the third quarterback to toss three or more passing touchdowns, record one or more rushing touchdowns and have a perfect passer rating with at least 15 completions during the Super Bowl era.

Jackson joined elite company for his latest performance. While nearly half of the season remains, Jackson and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers are two of the favorites to claim the league's MVP trophy.

Jackson's domination of Cincinnati is even more impressive when considering that the Baltimore signal-caller was battling an illness that drew a mention on the team's injury report. While it appears that he was never at risk of not suiting up, he tossed multiple touchdowns for the first time since Week 4 — now giving him 14 on the season. His score on the ground gives him four consecutive contests with a rushing touchdown.

In addition to his passing prowess, Jackson has transformed the Ravens' offense with his legs. During a season in which he has accrued 702 yards and six touchdowns on the ground, he has had five games with double-digit rushing attempts, in addition to three contests in which he has gone for over 100 yards.

Jackson's next chance at history comes next week when he faces the Houston Texans in an AFC showdown next Sunday.
