The roller-coaster 2017 NFL season for the Baltimore Ravens continued after a dominant 23-0 victory over the depleted Green Bay Packers. Although Baltimore managed to put points on the board when they needed to, the lack of weapons on offense continues to be a concern. Hello there, Breshad Perriman.

One of the most glaring issues has been the serious lack of production from wide receiver Breshad Perriman. According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, The Ravens decided to demote Perriman prior to their matchup versus the Packers:

Perriman's career has gotten off to a slow start after the Ravens took him with the 26th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. The young wideout missed his entire rookie year after being placed on the season-ending injured reserve.

Even with an excuse such as the injury, however, he has not made any sort of impact since returning prior to the 2016 NFL season.

It remains to be seen what Perriman's role in Baltimore is now with the demotion moving forward. Despite being on the field for more than half of Baltimore's offensive plays this year, he has recorded just seven receptions for 54 yards on the season.

With Perriman three years into his career and little promise to show for it, this could very well have been his last chance to prove he was worth the first-round pick. Don't be shocked if he remains inactive for the remainder of the season, culminating with the receiver to be sent packing when the offseason hits.

Only great play in practice can save him now.
