The Baltimore Ravens saw their 2017 season come to a disappointing end in a crushing Week 17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, effectively missing the playoffs for the third straight year.

Following the game, Terrell Suggs addressed his NFL future with a resounding response declaring that he will play for a few more years, according to Edward Lee of The Baltimore Sun.

“I plan on playing football for a few more years,” Suggs said. “Do you think I should quit?”

When a reporter replied, “No,” Suggs continued, “Alright. My body isn’t what is hurting right now. I plan on playing football next year and years to come.”

Suggs has wrapped his 15th season in the league still playing at a high level finishing with 11.0 sacks, which marked the seventh time in his career that he has reached double-digit sacks while leading the team on nine occasions. It has pushed up his franchise record to 125 1/2 sacks, which he is tied with Dwight Freeney for 17th on the all-time list.

His strong play on the field this season helped him earn his seventh Pro Bowl selection, and first since the 2013 campaign. Suggs has put together a Hall of Fame-worthy career that also includes a Defensive Rookie of the Year award, 2011 Defensive Player of the Year, a First-Team All-Pro nod (2011), and Second-Team All-Pro selection (2008). What has been equally as impressive is that he has played well despite tearing Achilles tendons, which the first occurred in the right one in 2012 and the left tore in 2015.

The 35-year-old still has one more year left on his five-year, $28.5 million deal that will pay him $4 million in base salary with a $6.9 million dead cap hit. There is no reason to believe that the Ravens will not want to bring Suggs back, especially since he's providing a huge impact defensively.
