The Washington Redskins were able to lure one of their division rivals' top players in free agency. The Redskins landed Landon Collins who had played for the New York Giants his entire career.

Collins said he is ready to tackle his former teammate, Saquon Barkley this season. Of course, the Redskins and the Giants face each other twice in the 2019 season. Therefore, Collins will likely have ample opportunities to tackle Barkley.

The Giants stud running back isn't an easy guy to bring down but Collins is more than up for the challenge. He spoke about the possibility of tackling Barkley at one of his charity softball events.

“I've been ready to tackle Saquon,” Collins said with a smile Saturday night at the celebrity softball event bearing his name for third and likely final season, at least in these neck of the woods. “That's my guy, though. All love to him and he's been doing his thing as we all know. But when I get to meet him in the hole this time, it's going to be full-go.”

Last season, Barkley burst onto the scene in his rookie season. The rookie phenom totaled 2,028 yards from scrimmage and 15 total touchdowns. He won the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award and fans began mentioning his name among the best running backs in the NFL.

Although, Collins is known to be a hard-hitting safety throughout his career. We might see a huge explosion if Barkley and Collins run full-force at each other in a game. Both of these guys will get their first chance to hit each other on opposing teams for the first time in Week 4 of the 2019 season.
