The Washington Redskins have made a lot of big additions this offseason. Their biggest free agent acquisition was safety Landon Collins. Meanwhile, the most significant move they made in the NFL Draft was getting Dwayne Haskins to be their next franchise quarterback.

It appears everything is going great. According to Jordan Raanan of ESPN, Collins has some strong – and positive – thoughts on Haskins.

“[Haskins] looks awesome!” Collins said of what he's seen so far. “Honestly. We all know every quarterback is going to make their rookie mistakes during OTAs. He's going against veteran guys that know the game. So there are going to be mistakes. But arm power, trusting his arm and trusting throwing to receivers that he doesn't trust yet and trying to fit it in there. He's doing all those things. That's what we need. He's pushing the ball downfield.”

No matter what you think of him, New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is a Hall of Famer. That's the QB that Landon Collins has been on the same team as every year up to this point in his career. He's also one of the better safeties in the NFL – meaning he knows how to read a quarterback.

With all that in mind, Collins definitely knows what he wants to see out of his team's quarterback. Lucky for the Redskins, he sees it in Haskins.

Those are things you want to see out of a rookie quarterback at this stage too. Like Collins says, they'll all make mistakes – honestly even veterans are going to show a little rust every camp. However, he seems to have all the talent – and confidence in that talent – in the world.

There's every reason to believe Haskins will be the Washington Redskins franchise quarterback. Add Collins onto the list of believers.
