The Washington Redskins will be visiting with wide receiver Kenny Britt on Monday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Britt last played in an NFL game in 2017, playing in 12 games between the Cleveland Browns and the New England Patriots and finishing with just 20 catches for 256 yards and a couple of touchdowns before being released by the Patriots last August.

The 30-year-old signed a four-year deal with the Browns in March 2017, but he made it just nine games into his first season with Cleveland before being released. He then finished the year with New England.

Britt, who played his collegiate football at Rutgers University, was originally selected by the Tennessee Titans in the first round (30th pick overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft.

He had a couple of decent seasons with the Titans, but overall, Britt was a disappointment in Tennessee, and in 2014, he ended up signing with the St. Louis Rams.

Britt then went on to have the best stretch of his career, including the 2016 campaign in which he hauled in 68 receptions for 1,002 yards and five touchdowns.

It's worth noting that Case Keenum was under center for the Rams that season, and he is currently batting for the Redskins' starting quarterback job heading into 2019.

Obviously, Washington is hoping Keenum and Britt can rekindle some of their old magic.

The Redskins are coming off of a 2018 campaign in which they won seven games and missed the playoffs.

Washington has made the playoffs just twice since 2008 and has only qualified five teams since 1993.
