The 2018 season is underway and former Dallas Cowboy star wide receiver Dez Bryant remains a free agent, which has raised questions about where he could sign at some point this year. On Sunday, Bryant hinted on social media that he would be interested in playing with the Washington Redskins or New England Patriots.

According to JP Finlay of NBC Sports, the Redskins currently have no desire to bring him aboard.

The Redskins have been floating around as a possibility for Bryant from the get-go given it would allow him to face his former team twice. However, other than just public interest in joining Washington, the team has strayed away from him over the last several months.

Bryant did have some mutual interest from the Cleveland Browns that saw him visit the organization prior to the start of the year, but that hasn't translated into a contract. There are reports that the Browns could revisit conversations with him, but there is no certainty that the team will ultimately bring him aboard.

The 29-year-old has experienced a notable drop in his production over the last three seasons, failing to reach 70 catches and 1,000 receiving yards in each campaign. Still, he has proven that he can be a highly effective factor in the passing game, and his next opportunity could help re-establish himself as one of the league' top receivers.

There have been questions concerning Bryant's ability to separate from defenders, but he has been a legitimate red-zone target throughout his career. It may simply come down to an NFL team giving him a chance to latch on to show what he has left in the tank.
