According to a report, the Arizona Cardinals and head coach Bruce Arians have already agreed to mutually part ways when the season is over.

This comes by way of Hub Arkush of Pro Football Weekly. For those questioning the report, as Arkush isn't exactly a national household name, he is regarded to be both credible and well-informed from an industry perspective.

There is reason to hedge on the report a tad, though. As of this writing, none of the other usual suspects in the reporting game have confirmed the clain.

Bruce Arians has been dealing with some health issues over the years. At the same time, he's discussed “the future” at several differing points this season.

A multi-time Coach of the Year, it would be strange for the Cardinals to want to get rid of him as well. If anything — again, IF this report is indeed true — it is likely that Arians wants out more so than Arizona wants to get rid of him.

All of that totally resting in the world of conjecture.

Anyway, this is something to keep an eye on all week. There's still a weekend left of National Football League games to be played. A lot could happen between now and then.
