Clint Capela was his usual bold self when asked for his thoughts after disposing of the Utah Jazz in a 4-1 first-round series. The Houston Rockets center openly said he was looking forward to becoming a champ by beating the champs after dispatching the Jazz 100-93 in Game 5, but the Golden State Warriors failed to move on just yet, falling to the LA Clippers on Wednesday.

However, Capela thinks the Rockets will soon finally resume a run-back of their Western Conference Finals from last year:

“I think the Warriors are going to win,” said Capela when prompted with the outcome of Game 6 between these two teams, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

The Rockets have already flown to the Bay Area, very much expecting the Warriors to come out on top in this series, whether it is Friday night or on Sunday, if a Game 7 occurs.

The team would be forced to fly back to Houston if the Clippers wind up pulling off the massive upset, but the Rockets are playing the numbers, most of which indicate the top-seeded juggernauts will put the series to bed, eventually.

Capela and his teammates won't have the home-court advantage this time around, but they will have the rest advantage, getting a full three days of rest before their next encounter if the Warriors win Friday, or even five full days if the series goes to seven games, no matter the winner.

However, the Rockets big man has been champing at the bit to get his revenge after his team fell a game shy of reaching the NBA Finals last postseason.
