If you look at a close-up picture of Houston Rockets star guard James Harden's left eye, you'll probably cringe.

Harden's left eye is still red and the reigning MVP says he has pain and trouble seeing through bright lights. The Rockets and Harden are hoping the pain and blurry vision improves before Game 3 against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday. Houston is down 0-2 in the series and can't afford to lose Game 3 at home.

Harden says the blurry vision is very difficult for him to deal with, but the Rockets' best player and leader isn't going to use that as an excuse moving forward.

“It’s different,” Harden said, via Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle. “Like an ankle injury, I rolled my ankle 100 times. You kind of know how to deal with that. You have blurry vision, you can’t see, it’s really difficult. But still no excuses.”

Harden scored 29 points in Game 2 despite playing with the blurry vision. He shot 9-of-19 from the field and 3-of-7 from beyond the arc.

The Rockets are down 0-2, but they played pretty well in Games 1 and 2 at Oracle Arena. Houston lost Game 1 by four points and Game 2 by six. The Rockets are undefeated at home in the postseason and will feed off of their crowd.

Everyone expects Houston to play like the elite offensive team they are in Games 3 and 4 at the Toyota Center. Hopefully, Harden's left eye feels better.
