Reigning MVP James Harden is out for the Houston Rockets on Saturday when the team takes on the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena, so head coach Mike D’Antoni is going to go big, as he will start power forward Kenneth Faried alongside center Clint Capela in the front court.

Saturday will be Faried’s 14th game with the Rockets and his 12th start.

Kenneth Faried has been a great addition for the Rockets, who enter Saturday’s game with a record of 33-25, good for fifth place in the Western Conference standings.

Faried is averaging 15.7 points, 9.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game with Houston while shooting 63.4 percent from the field, 42.9 percent from beyond the arc and 59.6 percent from the free-throw line. The Rockets are 7-6 since signing Faried after he was bought out by the Brooklyn Nets.

It’s going to be difficult for Houston to defeat the mighty Warriors without James Harden. Faried will obviously bring non-stop energy to the starting lineup, but the problem is: who is going to score with Harden out?

Chris Paul, Eric Gordon, Austin Rivers and Gerald Green will all have to pick up the slack on the offense if they want any chance of upsetting the Dubs. Houston is 2-0 against the Warriors this season, but Harden played in both of those games.
