Houston Rockets star James Harden finally reported to training camp on Tuesday, and he is already getting ambushed with questions about his future.

Only, the questions are not coming from the media. At least, not yet.

A Rockets fan spotted Harden from his car and asked whether he was staying in Houston. The fan was promptly told to move along.

Rockets fans everywhere undoubtedly have the same question: what is Harden's level of commitment to the franchise?

The outlook is not great right now. Although Harden reported to camp, there has yet to be any indication he has rescinded his trade demands.

While ESPN reported Tuesday there has been no traction in talks with the Brooklyn Nets, it seems Harden is open to a move to Philly to join the 76ers. Other teams are said to meet Harden's criteria.

Is it possible the chatter will die down after Harden spends a couple weeks with the team in camp?

Rockets head coach Stephen Silas admitted the former league MVP's early absence from camp made for a sour start to their relationship. But Silas also said the NBA is about handling tough conversations, and he seems ready to welcome “The Beard” into the fold.

Meanwhile, John Wall could hold the keys to Harden's final decision.

Reports suggested Harden had a preference for playing with Wall over Russell Westbrook, prompting the Rockets to acquire the former No. 1 pick from the Washington Wizards.

When Wall is healthy and in form, he is one of the best point guards in the league, and perhaps a better fit alongside Harden in the backcourt.

For now, however, Harden's future in Houston remains unclear.
