It’s no secret that Houston Rockets point guard Russell Westbrook has hops for days. The 31-year-old high-flyer once again showcased his hang time on Thursday night, adjusting his shot midair against the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Arena.

Looking at a sea of white shirts in the paint, Westbrook bull-rushed his way to the paint and elevated for the finish in the first half. Sensing Dubs’ Eric Paschall’s challenge at the rim, Westbrook cocked the ball midair and protected it from the defender, before bringing it back up for the beautiful right-handed lay-in.

Russell Westbrook’s gutsy play in the first half gave the Rockets a commanding 72-50 lead heading to the third quarter. He is poised for ye another big night, tallying 17 points, four assists, and two rebounds in 18 minutes of action in the first half.

Houston amassed a 34-20 record after the All-Star break and are currently ranked fifth in the Western Conference standings.

Westbrook has been phenomenal in his first stint in H-Town, averaging 27.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 1.6 steals.
