Sunday's NFL Pro Bowl spectacle was mired by the arrest of New Orleans Saints star Alvin Kamara just hours after the event concluded at the Las Vegas Raiders' Allegiant Stadium. A new key detail about Kamara's arrest has emerged and it sheds light on what has been a truly bizarre turn of events.

According to the Associated Press, Kamara's stems from an incident that transpired before the Pro Bowl. Apparently, the 26-year-old was already a suspect of battery even before Sunday's star-studded NFL event:

Police learned Saturday that New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara was a suspect in a pre-dawn beating of a man at a Las Vegas nightclub, but did not arrest Kamara until after Sunday’s NFL Pro Bowl, a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department spokesman acknowledged Monday.

There was some talk about the Saints running back getting involved in a nightclub incident in the aftermath of Sunday's Pro Bowl. Apparently, the alleged beating transpired the night (or early morning) before.

Kamara was arrested and charged after the Pro Bowl and is now facing felony charges for battery resulting in substantial bodily harm. If proven guilty, the Saints star could face jail time of up to five years in a state prison.
