Drew Brees had the last laugh on Sunday, as his New Orleans Saints obliterated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to grab top spot of the NFC South Division.

On a much-anticipated QB battle between the NFL's elite signal-callers, Brees stole the show as he spearheaded a 38-3 Tampa Bay massacre against Tom Brady. Brees is now 5-7 over Brady, and Sunday's blowout was incidentally Brady's worst loss of his career so far.

After the game, the two future Hall of Famers got together with a friendly gesture. Both QBs had to tip their hats to each other after their incredible respective careers in the league.

“We've been playing each other for 22 years. So, there's obviously a lot of respect there,” the Saints star QB said after the game (via Jeff Nowak of NOLA.com). “I think throughout our careers what we both say is just how grateful we are to have this opportunity to play this great game, to play for as long as we've been able to play.”

Obviously, it's quite easy to say these things when you're leading in a head-to-head battle against one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL. With Sunday's win, Brees' Saints find themselves on top once again of their division with a 6-2 record coming into Week 10.

Drew Brees was virtually flawless on Sunday, as the former NFL Super Bowl MVP completed 26 of his 32 passes and tallied four touchdowns with zero interceptions. His stat line was a thousand yards away from Tom Brady's rather disappointing evening, as he finished with a 40.4 passer rating after three interceptions, three sacks and no touchdowns.
