The New Orleans Saints struck gold in the 2017 NFL Draft when they selected cornerback Marshon Lattimore with the 11th overall pick. It appears he has not lost any of his motivation going into the 2018 NFL season.

Lattimore has established himself as one of the best young cornerbacks in the league. However, according to Nick Underhill of The Advocate, he is still intent on getting revenge against the teams that passed on him:

“There’s still doubters out there. Twitter people,” Lattimore said. “I mean, I still have to pick some of those teams off. I [picked off] the Jets last year and the Bears. They passed on me. I have to get every team that passed on me. I have to get a pick that game.”

He added that he still has a far way to go before reaching his full potential.

“I’m trying to become a legend, year in and year out,” Lattimore said. “I’m trying to build on everything I did last year. I’m trying to be 10 times better than what I was last year. Then next year I want to be 10 times better than I was this year.”
