The saga surrounding Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown took a turn for the worst following his recent altercation with general manager Mike Mayock. New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas has since taken the time to put his two cents in on the situation.

The drama with Brown has seemingly put the Raiders' franchise in a state of flux going into the 2019 NFL season.

Thomas seized the opportunity to take a shot at Mayock for his low impression of his coming out of college, via Twitter:

The Saints got a steal in Thomas when they took him in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He has since established himself as one of the NFL's premier wideouts while signing the riches receiver deal in history this offseason. Regardless, it is safe to say that Thomas still has a bone to pick with Mayock.

While Thomas' shot may seem unwarranted, there is certainly some truth to them. Among the notable wide receivers Mayock had in front of him include Laquon Treadwell, Corey Coleman, and Josh Doctson, who are no longer with the teams that drafted them. Meanwhile, wide receivers Will Fuller and Sterling Shepard have not fared much better in justifying their early-round status.

Although Mayock had his order wrong, Thomas will also need to hold all 32 teams accountable for passing on him while even some did it twice over.

Of course, he appears to be relishing in the fact that he is ready to provide his team with plenty of bang for their buck while Mayock struggles to repair the relationship with his top wideout.
