It's been a rough go for the New Orleans Saints as injuries have nearly depleted the roster. The quarterback play has been less than exquisite as the coaching staff continues to search for the right answer. For that reason, it appears Sean Payton is ready to give Taysom Hill another chance, according to Ian Rapoport:

“The Saints appear poised to make a QB change. Taysom Hill is taking first-team reps this week in practice in preparation to face the (Dallas) Cowboy. Trevor Siemian is taking No. 2 reps.”

Considering what the Saints are paying Taysom Hill, they might as well give him a shot to go under center. Hill has recovered from an injury that has kept him sidelined throughout most of the season. Sean Payton has eased him into the rotation, as Hill has been utilized as a gadget weapon for New Orleans.

We'll see how this pans out. Trevor Siemian looked decent under center for the Saints but wasn't doing enough to help the team win. On the other hand, Taysom Hill provides versatility and could bring a major boost to the run game.

With Alvin Kamara trying to come back from injury and the receiving core being mediocre at best, Hill makes the most sense to be New Orlean's starting quarterback right now. If he lives up to Payton's standards, the Saints could find themselves back in legitimate contention for a spot in the playoffs.

Keep an eye on the Saints and Taysom Hill, as they'll attempt to knock the Dallas Cowboys from the top of the rankings on Thursday Night Football. It should be a solid game, as both franchises are dealing with their own list of problems.
