The New Orleans Saints have been dealing with the situation regarding talented wide receiver Michael Thomas. He is out for the foreseeable future as he nurses another injury, and now the Saints have made a move regarding their wide receiver group.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Saints are bringing in Kevin White, the former first-round pick.

Is this a huge move? Not exactly, but it could provide White with a golden opportunity for some huge reps, especially with the uncertainty of the Saints wide receiver group as a whole.

After a terrific career at West Virginia, White was selected by the Chicago Bears in the 2016 NFL Draft and just never got into any type of rhythm. In three seasons with the Bears, he had just 25 catches, with 19 of those coming in his first season.

White spent the 2020 season with the San Francisco 49ers as a returner and now will head to New Orleans looking to desperately revitalize his career after being pegged as a bust.

With Thomas out– and possibly being traded after a weird situation— it could carve out a role for White to catch on as a receiver. Only time will tell if this ends up working and if White can truly find success in the NFL.
