The New Orleans Saints have some questions to figure out on offense, primarily at the quarterback position. With Jameis Winston done for the year after suffering a torn ACL, the Saints opted to hand the offense to Trevor Siemian, rather than their hybrid offensive talent, Taysom Hill.

Despite Hill being active for Sunday's game against the Eagles, he didn't feature on a single offensive snap. Still, the Saints seem to have a strong sense of faith in the 31-year-old. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Saints and Hill have reached an agreement on a four-year contract extension.

The deal is extremely unique, as it takes into account what position Hill plays for the team. He will be paid anywhere between $40 million and $95 million over the duration of the contract depending on where he lines up for the Saints. Schefter also reported that $22.5 million of that money is guaranteed.

It's a bit difficult to digest this deal, especially considering the team and Hill reportedly signed a contract extension earlier this year. No matter how you spin it, though, Hill seems to be robbing the Saints blind. He could be earning an average of $10 million per year at minimum, and as much as $23.75 million annually.

Considering the Saints don't seem to think Hill is worth starting at quarterback over Siemian, it's difficult to justify paying him $95 million. Even $40 million feels like somewhat of a stretch for someone who sees only a handful of snaps per game and is often used as a decoy.

Still, the Saints see the value that Hill brings to the table, and perhaps are holding out hope that he can develop as a passer and become their quarterback of the future.
