Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon has seen a change in New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees' arm strength, especially as the season goes on. Brees turned 41 years old on January 15, and Moon knows exactly what it's like to lose arm strength as a quarterback gets older.

Speaking to Colin Cowherd, Moon said he felt his arm wearing out as the season progressed the older he got. With Brees, Moon sees the drop in arm strength, something he believes could actually be because of his legs:

“I can see — especially later in the season, and you can see this with Drew Brees and some of the other quarterbacks as well — their arms don’t have the same pop at the end of the season that they had early in the year,” Moon said via Chris Mason of MassLive.com. “That has to do with their age, and that’s something I started to see in my career when I got older, that I didn’t have that same pop in my arm. A lot of it has to do with your legs because you’ve just become fatigued over the course of the whole season.”

That is a big problem for a guy like Brees because of how important his arm is to win games during the playoffs.

In the Saints' 2019 NFC Wild Card Game against the Minnesota Vikings, Brees threw for 208 yards and a touchdown, but there were a couple of throws he would have made earlier in his career that he missed.

The hope is this season he can make those throws during the playoffs to lead the Saints to another Super Bowl title.
