Is Alvin Kamara injured? That's the question of several fans after the New Orleans Saints tried out three running backs on Tuesday.

As Nick Underhill of New Orleans.Football reported, there have been whispers that Kamara might have “gotten a little banged up” during Sunday's contest against the Atlanta Falcons. This could be a major factor why the Saints worked out the trio of Kerryon Johnson, Rodney Smith, and Josh Adams.

The Saints have yet to disclose Alvin Kamara's condition and if he's indeed dealing with an injury. Besides, he did leave their Week 9 game against the Falcons and went to the sideline medical tent before returning to action.

Of course, it is possible that the Saints are just doing their due diligence and preparing themselves in case they need to rest Kamara even though he is not injured, but their decision certainly suggests something is wrong with their star running back.

Kamara has only been the consistent performer for the Saints all season long, and so any injury—even minor ones—will be concerning for the team and the fanbase. Hopefully, though, the four-time Pro Bowler is not dealing with anything serious.

New Orleans did add Mark Ingram recently via trade, and he is expected to lead the rushing game in the event that Kamara has to be sidelined.
