Sam Darnold and the New York Jets are heading into their Week 7 matchup on Monday Night Football with the New England Patriots on a very high note. After upsetting the Dallas Cowboys last week and their franchise quarterback returning to the field from mono, the Jets are full of confidence.

Granted, defeating the Patriots is going to be much more difficult than beating the Cowboys was, but it is possible. New York will have to make a much bigger impact on the defensive side of the ball, but they are capable of stepping up.

New York is set to receive more reinforcements with star linebacker C.J. Mosley returning to the field for the first time since Week 1. Darnold, however, is going to be the driving force behind winning or losing. If he has a good game, the Jets have a chance, but if he has a bad game, it could end in a blowout loss.

All of that being said, let's dive in and take a look at three bold predictions for Darnold this week against the Patriots.

3. Darnold Doesn't Throw A Single Interception

New England's defense is without question one of the top playmaking defenses in the league. They have found ways to force turnovers and they will be looking to continue that trend this week against Darnold.

While they are going to throw a lot of pressure at Darnold, he is going to stay poised in the pocket. He is going to take care of the football and will not throw a single interception. Taking care of the football is going to go a long way towards getting the Jets another upset victory.

2. He Throws for Over 300 Yards

Going up against the Patriots may not be an easy task, but the Jets are going to find a way to move the football. New England will have to focus on keeping Le'Veon Bell in check, which is going to open up the aerial attack.

Darnold will end up throwing for over 300 yards when everything is said and done. If the Jets can move the football consistently and put up points, their defense will have an opportunity to put them in a position to win the game. New York loves what they saw from their second-year quarterback last week and will see more of the same this week.

1. New York Gets A Massive Win Under the Leadership of Darnold

Finally, Darnold is going to do enough to lead the Jets to a massive divisional win over the Patriots. He is going to look good from start to finish and New York's offense is going to be clicking on all cylinders.

Add in the fact that the defense is going to take a big step forward with Mosley back and everything is falling into place at the right time. New York may have started the season on a bad note, but they are going to start turning things around. The playoffs may not be a reasonable expectation, but they are going to show enough potential to make people take a look at them.
