The Seattle Seahawks endured massive changes on both sides of the ball on Tuesday, as star quarterback Russell Wilson and All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner each departed from the team. Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos in a massive blockbuster while Wagner was released by the team, officially ushering in a rebuild in Seattle. Both Wilson and Wagner spent all 10 seasons of their career with the Seahawks, so it's understandable that they each would have had lasting impacts on their teammates during such a long period. One such teammate, star wide receiver DK Metcalf, had a touching message for both men on his Instagram account.

Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf acknowledged that it hurt to see Russell Wilson and Bobby Wagner go, then offered some heartfelt words on the two men.

Metcalf thanked Wilson for “taking him under his wing”, noting instances where the star quarterback helped him, such as by calling him when he was first drafted, as well as teaching him how to swim.

The Pro Bowl wideout then went on to thank Wagner for teaching him how to be a “business man” and teaching him “how to make people feel like the best version of themselves.”

It's evident that both Wilson and Wagner had a huge impact on Metcalf, who truly took some important lessons from interactions with both players that went beyond the football field.

Even though Metcalf will no longer be teammates with them, there is no doubt that he'll remain close to the two former Seahawks stars.
