Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll will have no hesitation using newly signed running back Marshawn Lynch on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. Carroll admitted during his press conference that he was as excited as the fans to see what Lynch had left in the tank and what he could provide for the team.

Along with Lynch the team also signed Robert Turbin to fill out their backfield after injuries to Chris Carson and C.J. Prosise. When asked to name a starter for Sunday, Carroll wouldn't give any hints but did say he liked the way they looked in practice.

“Both Marshawn and Robert Turbin did a nice job and worked hard with us and fit right in. It's hard to imagine how it could be so seamless in terms of their learning and all but they're veteran guys and they get it and they did a great job,” Carroll said, per Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR.

Lynch last played in a game Week 6 of last season for the Oakland Raiders. Most believed his playing days in the NFL were done until the Seahawks came calling after the injuries to their backs.

With so little time to get ready the team hasn't bothered trying to teach Lynch and Turbin the full playbook, instead just focusing on plays that will be used in Sunday's gameplan.

The Seahawks can wrap up the NFC West and at least one home game in the playoffs with a win in this game, so it's important that Lynch and Turbin both play key roles right away.
