The Seattle Seahawks are shorthanded at running back and according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Marshawn Lynch is going to pay a visit to Seattle to discuss a reunion.

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Media, the Seahawks are also expected to bring in former Seahawks running back Robert Turbin in for a visit.

The Seahawks have racked up all kinds of injuries with their running backs. On Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, CJ Prosise and Chris Carson were both knocked out for the year because of injuries. On the season Carson rushed for 1230 yards and seven touchdowns.

Even with Russell Wilson under center, the Seahawks are a team that is run first which means it's going to be tough sledding if they can't find someone to replace his production.

Lynch and the Seahawks have quite the past, good and bad, but they have been one good enough terms to at least consider a reunion. Lynch last played for the Seahawks in 2015 and last played in the league during the 2018 season with the Oakland Raiders. He only played in eight games rushing for 376 yards and three touchdowns.

There are a lot of questions about if Lynch would be the best option for the Seahawks but at least he would know the Seahawks system quickly. If he isn't ready to play right away though it could be a big issue for the Seahawks. There is a chance the Seahawks are going to play on wild card weekend and to win they need good running back production.
