The Seattle Seahawks have decided to repeal their request to waive former West Virginia wide receiver Gary Jennings Jr. Being a part of their most recent draft class and selecting him in the fourth round, Jennings will look to make an impact with the injuries sustained to the other Seattle receivers.

As top receivers Tyler Lockett and fellow rookie D.K. Metcalf were limited in Wednesday's practice, the Seahawks look to be running thin in terms of their wide out depth. Seattle was looking to waive Jennings due to a lack of production, which seems like a quick way to give up on a player who has only been in the league a few months.

As Seattle has become one of the run heaviest offenses in the league, there might not be ample opportunities for the young receiver. Even though being fully healthy, Jennings has not participated in any of the three games Seattle has played so far.

In the times that Seattle does in fact choose to throw the ball, Metcalf has stepped in to become Seattle's number two receiver and one of Russell Wilson's favorite downfield target with 217 yards on only eight catches. Lockett has performed well, having a monster game in last weeks loss to New Orleans as he totaled 11 catches for 154 yards and a score.

If Jennings wasn't going to get an opportunity to be some kind of playmaker for the team, Seattle wouldn't have brought him back as we will wait and see what kind of impact he will have on Seattle's passing game the rest of the season.
