Since his strong showing at the NFL Combine, former UCF linebacker Shaquem Griffin has captured the attention of many as he has continued to overcome the odds in front of him. Griffin has become a huge source of motivation and inspiration by being able to reach his goal of playing in the NFL despite his physical limitation with one hand.

All of this has quickly translated to him becoming a fan favorite before even stepping on the field for his first NFL game as he's currently fifth among rookie jersey sales, according to ESPN.

What is remarkable about that is that he's the only player on that list that is not a first-round selection as he was taken in the fifth round by the Seattle Seahawks. He has a chance to latch onto a sizeable role with the team if he's able to continue to this growing momentum he has been able to ride over the last few months.

Griffin has shown that he can be a productive player on the field as he will have the situation to be a factor in the Seahawks' defensive front seven playing weakside linebacker. If he's able to demonstrate that he can translate his collegiate success at the next level, it could quickly lead to much sponsorship and marketing opportunities off the field.

There is plenty of potential for him to grow and show that he can be a vital piece to the puzzle for Seattle's revamped defense in the 2018 campaign. He will first have to demonstrate just that in training camp in order to garner a role with the team that keeps him in the fold. Nonetheless, these early jersey sales show that he has become a fan favorite with many rooting for him to become a unique success story in the NFL.
