Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll offered up a cryptic response to the notion of the Seahawks claiming Odell Beckham Jr. off waivers, seemingly hinting that the team is thinking about making that move. The comments came after a report surfaced claiming Beckham preferred to join Carroll's squad.

Well, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler confirms Seattle has had internal conversations about bringing Beckham into the fold:

The Seahawks already have two studs in place at wide receiver in DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, so adding Beckham to the mix would give them a truly loaded receiver corps. Seattle is getting Russell Wilson back in the fold this weekend against the Green Bay Packers and is looking to make a push to the playoffs during the back half of the season. The Seahawks are just 3-5 after Wilson's injury setback, but there's plenty of time to turn things around.

While Beckham didn't work out with the Browns, he would be in interesting fit alongside the other talented receivers in Seattle. His freelancing ways could be good for a freelancing quarterback in Wilson, and it would be hard for opposing defenses to cover all of those talented receivers. Perhaps the Seahawks decide they don't want to deal with the baggage that comes with Beckham, but it would certainly be an intriguing addition for a team trying to save its season.
