Shareef O'Neal, son of Shaquille O'Neal is one of the nation's top high school prospects which isn't hard to believe.

Some of the best colleges in the country are currently trying to recruit him despite the fact that he won't graduate until 2018.

The 6-foot-9 O'Neal has similar attributes as his father at the same age and can be seen displaying his skills on many youtube videos.

Kobe Bryant had offered to train with him earlier this year and O'Neal gladly accepted the offer.

Shaq, on the other hand, has objected to the notion and told CBS Sports that he doesn't feel that kind of connection is necessary at all.

“[Shareef] don't need to [train with Bryant]. He's good.”

That might sound like old feelings arising initially, but O'Neal believes his son is actually off to a better start than he was at the same age.

“He's really good. Way better than I was [at his age]. [Shareef] has a lot of colleges looking at him and I am very, very proud of him.”

That could easily be a case where he wants Shareef to follow his own path, or he feels deep down he doesn't want Bryant around his son.

O'Neal led his San Antonio high school team to a 68-1 record, so it's hard to imagine being better than that.

It's not difficult to believe him since Shareef will have his choice of colleges to attend, and afterward, step right into the NBA.
