Heading into their matchup with the Boston Celtics, the Philadelphia 76ers found themselves with the deck stacked against them. Between injuries and health and safety protocols, they were once again playing extremely shorthanded. Despite being without a large chunk of his normal rotation, Doc Rivers still had three key players at his disposal.

Thanks to strong showings from Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, and Seth Curry, the depleted Sixers managed to steal a victory over their longtime rival. The trio accounted for 92 of the team's 108 points en route to a five-point win.

While all three players deserve a massive applause for their efforts, no star shined brighter than Embiid on Monday. He reminded everyone he is still one of the league's most dominant forces. The All-Star big man ended the night with a stat line of 41 points, ten rebounds, five assists, two steals, and four blocks. This showing is arguably Embiid's best all-around performance of the season.

Over the years, Embiid has had his way against Boston. With Al Horford out of the lineup, they had no answer for the Sixers' franchise cornerstone. Thin depth in the Celtics' frontcourt allowed Embiid to have his way from the opening tip to the final buzzer.

Embiid's biggest moments came down the stretch. 17 of his 41 points came in the fourth quarter, including a trio of mid-range jumpers to seal the victory. The big fella continues to show he can be a closer for the Sixers down the stretch of tight games.

Some Sixers weren't able to join the team Monday, but that did not stop them from showing their support. Multiple teammates took to social media to give their reactions to Embiid's dominating performance.
Since arriving in Philadelphia, Georges Niang has worn his heart on his sleeve. Even in his tweets, the sharpshooting forward let his emotions show for his All-Star teammate.

Andre Drummond also took to twitter to show Embiid some love. He too was in awe from what he saw from the big fella.

After some rough losses recently, the Sixers desperately needed to get back in the win column. In true superstar fashion, Embiid did all he could on both ends to lead the charge.

This performance speaks volumes to how dedicated Embiid is to being a leader on and off the floor for the Sixers. He understands the team needs him now more than ever, and he has managed to deliver some big performances in the process.

Unfortunately, the Sixers still have their work cut out for them. The performance of the big three was incredible, but they will need to maintain this high level of play moving forward as the team works its way back to full health. For once, time is on their side. The Sixers get to enjoy two straight days off before taking the floor at home against the Atlanta Hawks Thursday.
