It's barely past noon on the East Coast and the Ben Simmons haters are already out in full force ahead of his return to Wells Fargo on Thursday night. The former Philadelphia 76ers star, who was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in the James Harden blockbuster, was leaving his hotel and getting on the team bus when he received some NSFW hate from a couple of Sixers fans.

Unfortunately, that's only the start. The Sixers faithful are expected to really give Simmons a hard time on Thursday evening while he sits on the bench for the Nets. The guard has yet to play for his new squad due to a back injury, but he didn't shy away from being present in Philadelphia to support Brooklyn.

Of course, it was an ugly ending to Simmons' time in the City of Brotherly Love. He didn't play all season long due to mental health issues following his shocking collapse in the playoffs last year. The Sixers were in full support of the 25-year-old, but he didn't show any interest in playing for the franchise again. That's when Philly pulled the trigger on the Harden trade and needless to say, it's working out.

In five games The Beard has played in, the Sixers are 5-0. He's already formed a lethal partnership with MVP favorite Joel Embiid and fans are already dreaming of an NBA title coming back to the city. That being said, they're definitely not missing Ben Simmons but he will definitely be feeling the hate.
