Obviously, this is a story about James Harden, who obviously plays for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Obviously, the Sixers lost to the Miami Heat, 106-92 in Game 1 of their second round battle in the NBA Playoffs. While it was obvious that they had a huge handicap without star center Joel Embiid, the Sixers still put up a gallant stand, despite Harden's obviously poor showing.

Obviously, Harden wasn't up to his standards, finishing with only 16 points on 13 shots. He also committed five turnovers. Obviously, turnovers are bad. After the loss, the former MVP dismissed his forgettable play and made a remarkably obvious remark, per the report of ESPN.

“Obviously, we're not trying to miss shots, but things we can control are rebounding the basketball and not turning the basketball over. That's things we can control, and once we do that next game we'll have a better chance of winning.”

Obviously, everyone knows—let alone reporters—that missing shots is not the point of basketball.

When asked about battling without Embiid, the Sixers guard once again gave the obvious answer.

“Obviously, we're missing Joel, but it's out of our control. We got to go out there and man up and be great, and I know we will.”

It's not quite obvious if Harden was not in the mood to answer questions. To be fair, what's there left to say? But obviously, is that he needs to be better to give the Sixers any chance of upsetting the top-seeded Heat.

Obviously, after Game 1 is Game 2. It will be held on Wednesday.
