The Sixers held an introductory press conference for Jimmy Butler on Tuesday morning. During his media availability, the four-time All-Star noted that his ultimate goal with the team is winning a championship.

“It's above everything,” Butler tells ESPN's Tim Bontemps. “That's why everyone plays this game: to win a championship. Getting that trophy, getting that ring, owning that point in time when you're the best team in the world, that's special … that's the goal.”

Butler's confidence may come off as brash to some, but there is nothing wrong with having a bit of conviction. And he's right: all NBA players dream of hoisting the Larry O'Brien trophy. Some get that opportunity. Some do not.

Though he says the goal is winning a championship, Butler also maintained a certain level of reason.

It's difficult to gauge how well Butler will fit with the Sixers, who gave up quite a haul to obtain the four-time All-Star. There is no denying the fact that he's a solid player, though. And now that he's officially been traded, he'll be playing alongside Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.

Sixers fans are excited for Butler's arrival. In fact, some fans in Philly are already dubbing the trio as the NBA's next ‘Big 3.'

In his 10 appearances with the Timberwolves this season, Butler, who's expected to make his debut with the Sixers on Wednesday night, has posted averages of 21.3 points on 47.1 percent shooting from the field (37.8 percent from beyond the arc), 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.4 steals and a block in 36.1 minutes per outing.

The Sixers will travel to Orlando on Wednesday for a match-up against the Magic. Tip-off inside the Amway Center is set for 7:00 p.m. EST.
