Joel Embiid has gone through his fair share of waiting, sitting out his first two seasons and 51 additional games during his rookie year — and now he's bound to miss even more.

The newly-extended 7-footer has been put on a minutes restriction by head coach Brett Brown, and while he's hoping that changes within the next few days, he can't wait to shed the chains and go out there in a regular workload.

“That's bulls***,” he said on his minutes restriction, according to Kyle Neubeck of The Philly Voice.

Embiid noted that while he trusts the doctors and knows they have his best interest in mind, he feels like he could go out and play more than what he's been told he'll play in the season-opener.

Brown noted he would give his star center minutes in the teens, playing him 15 minutes in each of his two preseason games.

Embiid also started last season in a very strict minutes restriction, which was slowly lifted after 10 games. The Cameroonian wasn't allowed to play back-to-backs either — another restriction the team can expect throughout the season, according to his recovery.

Brown also noted that rookie point man Markelle Fultz will appear off the bench “real quickly” — noting his non-glamorous start to the season has nothing to do with the faith the organization has in him.
