Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid has had enough of these rumors about his supposed feud with fellow Sixers star Ben Simmons. Embiid hopped on Twitter to refute these reports.

Sources “Trust me bro”!! Stop using my name to push people’s agendas. I love and hate drama. I love playing with Ben. Stats don’t lie. He’s an amazing player and we all didn’t get the job done. It’s on me personally. I hope everyone is back cuz we know we’re good enough to win

The Sixers center did not stop there.

From my own experience, y’all have no idea how much this media makes up stuff for followers and shame on you for believing them.

Embiid also reminded Sixers fans about the time a couple of years ago when they wanted him gone.

I haven’t forgotten but 2 years ago, I got booed, people in Philly wanted me to be traded. I even shushed them. Only the real ones didn’t but I just put the work in that offseason to be better cuz I knew I wasn’t playing up to my potential. Philly fans, y’all also gotta be better

It has been a tumultuous offseason, to say the least, with regards to Simmons and the Sixers. The hybrid point guard had already requested for a trade, but finding a way out of the City of Brotherly Love isn't going to be that easy for Simmons, whose huge contract and Sixers' apparent high asking price are among the biggest obstacles for such a trade to push through.

It appears that the longer Simmons remains part of the Sixers, the juicier the rumors will come out of Philly, and Joel Embiid isn't certainly going to like that.

Simmons' current deal with the Sixers will not expire until the conclusion of the 2024-25 NBA season.
