Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid was the Game 3 hero on Wednesday night up in Canada, delivering a dagger 3-pointer in the final second of overtime to give the Sixers a 3-0 lead over the Toronto Raptors in the first round. It had to be an especially fulfilling moment for Embiid after Kawhi Leonard's Game 7 buzzer-beater over him in Toronto in 2019.

However, not everything was sunshines and rainbows for Embiid, as he showed up to the postgame press conference with a brace on his right hand. The Sixers star said the hand was bothering him during the game, and he will find out more about what's going on with it on Thursday:

The injury clearly didn't impact Embiid on his ridiculous game-winner, and he finished with 33 points on 12-of-20 shooting in 44 minutes. He had his share of miscues, though, turning the ball over six times and missing three foul shots.

One has to wonder just how much that hand was bothering Embiid this game and how much it will affect him moving forward. The Sixers essentially have this series locked up, but they will need Embiid at full strength in the later rounds as the competition ramps up.

Philly is just hoping this injury is nothing to worry about. It would be great for the Sixers to finish off the Raptors in four games and maybe rest up a little bit ahead of the second round.
