Joel Embiid made quite a splash in his return from injury in Game 3 as he led the Sixers to a season-saving win over the Miami Heat on Friday, 99-79. Embiid was definitely trying to make up for lost time and his recent confession reveals just how much he was itching to go during his spell on the sidelines.

Embiid admitted that it was very tough for him to watch his team battle the Heat in Games 1 and 2 without him:

“It was annoying just watching,” said Embiid, via Justin Grasso of SI.com. “Obviously, we didn’t make shots, but we also made a lot of mistakes, whether it was offensive rebounding or turnovers.”

With Embiid sidelined due to a couple of injuries, the Sixers were forced to utilize DeAndre Jordan and Paul Reed in his stead. Both big men didn't exactly move the needle for Philadelphia and this was one of, if not the biggest factor to the Sixers falling in an 0-2 hole against Miami.

That's all water under the bridge now, however. Joel Embiid is back and after their Game 3 win, this series has just become very interesting. Philly must win Game 4, though, because going down 1-3 in the series against this Heat team could spell the end of the season for the Sixers.
