The Philadelphia 76ers are trading Ben Simmons. That has been a certainty we've all known for quite some time. But as the offseason has dragged on, the 3-time All-Star has stayed stagnant on the Sixers' roster.

After all the trade chatter that has circulated throughout the past couple of weeks, it seems nearly impossible that Ben Simmons will spend another minute playing in a Sixers uniform. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey, absolutely nothing has changed on that end. Pompey put an expected deadline on a trade in his latest appearance on The Mike Missanelli Show.

Via NBC Sports' Adam Hermann:

“I think he's gonna get moved,” claimed Pompey, the Sixers insider.

“I felt like, talking to people I spoke to and sources, they all thought it was going to happen in the preseason. Happen maybe right before training camp, in training camp, what have you. Maybe right before the final rosters. But the belief is that he is still going to get traded. I think that's right.”

The Sixers have reportedly been exploring every trade avenue and asking for a ton in exchange for Ben Simmons. While nothing has come to fruition just yet, Daryl Morey may be sizing up his offers and extracting the best one, setting up a decision right before the season begins. Ben Simmons' days seem to be clearly numbered, quite literally this time.
